PURPOSE:
The Housing Task Force will discuss the housing goals outlined in the Comprehensive Plan and their thoughts and suggestions on aligning these goals with the unified land use code (ULUC).

SUMMARY:
The Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2019 laid out several goals, policies and action steps related to housing. The creation of the housing task force was one of these goals. The Housing Task Force has done research and is working on several different projects related to the city's housing goals both affordable and market rate.

The City has asked the task force to provide comments on the ULUC and in particular the following sections of the ULUCs:
* Accessory Dwelling Units
* The Corridors and Mixed-Use Character Area
* Parking requirements associated with housing
* "Missing middle" housing types such as row homes, townhomes, duplexes, triplexes, and others

PRIOR ACTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS:
Planning Commission had a joint study session with the Housing Task Force on February 8, 2021. Several of the Envision Studios have focused on housing options.

ANALYSIS:
Staff Analysis
Several provisions of the ULUC intersect with the mission of the housing task force, to promote attainable and affordable housing options within the City of Littleton. These provisions include, but are not limited to, the bullet points listed above.

Adoption of the ULUC is the number one goal of city council in 2020 and 2021.
