REQUESTED BOARD/COMMISSION/COUNCIL ACTION:
The Planning Commission will consider recommending the adoption to the City Council of the Envision Littleton Comprehensive Plan which includes the Future Land Use and Character Map and the Transportation Master Plan.

BACKGROUND:
The Comprehensive and Transportation Master plans resulted from an 18-month planning and community engagement process. The last 18-months included over 8,300 in-person conversations, over 70,000 electronic communications, over 45,000 total social media impressions (how many times Envision Littleton content was displayed to users), and 261 events. This community input has been the foundation for the final plans.

PRIOR ACTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS:
After seven joint leadership study sessions to discuss the update of the City's Comprehensive Plan and the creation of a first-ever Transportation Master Plan, the final document is now presented for recommendation for adoption by City Council.

The update of the City's Comprehensive Plan and the creation of a first-ever Transportation Master Plan included five phases for project completion in 2019.

STAFF ANALYSIS:
Envision Littleton is on schedule with delivery of the final Comprehensive and Transportation Master Plans for their consideration at the public hearing during Planning Commission's regular meeting on October 14, 2019.

The plans received hundreds of comments from individuals, groups, organizations, and agencies that far surpassed project team expectations and the recent public comment results for other municipalities in the region.
