Reynolds Landing Discussion and Update
Body
Presented By: |
Keith Reester, Public Works Director |
PURPOSE:
This is an overview by staff from the City of Littleton, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, and South Suburban Parks and Recreation District about the history and background related to projects in and around Reynolds Landing. Staff will review the current status as well as future projected plans, funding considerations, design, and community engagement.
This project has one of the largest fiscal impacts to the Open Space Fund over the next five years, and staff would like to brief city council on what to expect.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
In April 2019, staff applied for a $100,000 planning grant from Arapahoe County Open Space. If the grant is approved in July, the city’s matching portion would be $10,000, with the grant portion being $90,000. The 2019 budget includes funding for the planning grant. Additional estimated funding needs through 2023 are $1,100,000.
At the March 5 study session, staff presented a funding strategy to council for the open space fund which included funding of $1,100,000 for this project.
