REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:

There is no requested action.

BACKGROUND:

City Council adopted a unifying vision and 5 guiding principles on December 18 in anticipation of the update to the City’s comprehensive plan and creation of the City’s first-ever transportation master plan. The purpose of this study session is to kick-off both plans, review the schedule, phases, milestones, and elements of Envision Littleton for 2019.

STAFF ANALYSIS:

Both consultant teams (KKC and HDR) are currently in the data collection phase of Envision Littleton and will produce a databook of existing conditions in March.

This data combined with the shared values, priorities, and concerns learned from community outreach efforts in 2018 will provide the foundation for City Council and Planning Commission to make data-driven, values-based, and priority-focused decisions about what to include in the combined plans and the path forward for any items that need to be addressed at a later date.

Staff has worked with both consultant teams to prepare 3 tools that will help us manage this project:

Combined Project Work Plan that includes a working calendar for 2019

Consultant and project team workshop calendar

Combined Community Engagement Plan for both plans
