REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:
Does city council support holding an executive session regarding Littleton Municipal Charter, Section 27(3)?
BACKGROUND:
On November 6, 2019, voters approved an amendment to the Littleton Municipal Charter, Section 27 to allow council to add legal definitions to what executive session reasons are allowable. Section 27 (3) states: Council may hold an executive session to provide instructions to its designated representatives in the purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer or sale of any real or personal property. No executive session may be held for the purpose of concealing the fact that a member of the council has a personal interest in such purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer or sale. All formal action on the agreements for such purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer or sale of any real or personal property must occur in an open session of the city council

If approved the executives session will be held in the City Manager's conference room.
If the vote is less than a quorum, an executive session may only be held by a majority vote of a quorum present plus one.
