REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:
Does city council support authorizing the city manager to execute a lease with South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Protection District for Station 11?
BACKGROUND:
The city entered into a Pre-Unification Agreement with South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Protection District (South Metro) on April 18, 2018.
PRIOR ACTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS:
The Pre-Unification Agreement with South Metro was approved April 18, 2018.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
The term of this lease will be for five years with an option for renewal for an additional five years. The lease requires a 60-day notice to terminate. The terms of the lease also include a provision concerning reasonable wear and tear, no capital improvements over $5000, and no permanent alterations of the space without the consent of the city.
OPTIONS/ALTERNATIVES:
Option A. Authorize the city manager to execute the lease.
Option B. Do not authorize the city manager to execute the lease.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
No other fiscal impacts than those identified in the Pre-Unification Agreement.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends council authorize the city manager to execute the lease with South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Protection District for Station 11.
