REQUESTED COMMISSION ACTION:
Does Planning Commission recommend to City Council the adoption of the Envision Littleton 2040 Report which contains the unifying vision and the guiding principles?

BACKGROUND:
Envision Littleton is an on-going community-driven process to plan for the next 20 years. The citizens of Littleton have shaped the attached report. The twelve intense weeks of summer engagement yielded 870 online survey responses and conversations with over 3,000 people to provide a unifying vision and guiding principles. The month of October provided an opportunity for residents to "check our work" and by continuing the emphasis on key events in the city, the draft was seen by over 2,500 people.

There has been great emphasis on the community engagement for Envision Littleton. Engagement was tailored to each group, the Envision team made every effort to go to community events where residents, visitors, and businesses were already gathering and to build long-term relationships, awareness, and support for the 2019 efforts to update the comprehensive plan.

STAFF ANALYSIS:
The attached report represents the input of thousands to voice our shared values, concerns, and priorities for Littleton's future.

The community-reviewed draft was the focus of the joint study session for City Council and Planning Commission on November 13. Based on comments during the October and November outreach, the report was updated. The report dated December 18, 2018 was posted online on Tuesday, November 27, with updates emailed to the Littleton Plan subscribers on Thursday, November 29, posted on the City of Littleton's Economic Development website on Wednesday, November 28, highlighted in the December 1 edition of the Littleton Report, featured in an Envision Littleton video for Channel 8...
