Keith Reester, Public Works Director

REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:
Does city council support an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the City of Englewood for pavement rehabilitation on South Windermere Street between Littleton Boulevard and West Belleview Avenue?

BACKGROUND:
The City of Littleton initiated pavement rehabilitation on a segment of South Windermere Street between Littleton Boulevard and West Belleview Avenue as part of its 2018 Mill & Overlay Project. The city contracted with Chavez Construction, Inc. to perform the pavement rehabilitation work on this segment of South Windermere Street.

Most of this project area is within the City of Littleton. The municipal boundary between the City of Littleton and the City of Englewood runs down the centerline of South Windermere Street for a portion of this project; approximately 1,250 linear feet from West Prentice Avenue to West Belleview Avenue. Each city is responsible for maintenance of the street within its jurisdiction.

The City of Littleton agreed to be responsible for management of the project, and contracted with Alfred Benesch and Company for design and construction inspection services.

The City of Englewood agreed to reimburse the City of Littleton for its share of the material, labor, and construction management services.

It is proposed to enter into an IGA with the City of Englewood for the pavement rehabilitation work on South Windermere Street.
