BACKGROUND:

PRIOR ACTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS:
Per the city's zoning code, the official zoning map is being presented for adoption.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
The official zoning map is a foundational element of Title 10 of the Littleton municipal code. As noted in Section 10-1-6:
(A) Zoning Map: The official zoning map containing the boundaries of the various zone districts in the city, which may consist of one or more parts, is made a part of this title by this reference. Copies of the official zoning map are available from the planning division for the reasonable cost of reproduction.
Littleton's zoning map is being updated with a new look, which makes it easier to use and read. It also is available on-line on the city's website for easy access. All future zoning amendments and rezonings will include provisions to revise the official zoning map (as outlined per Chapter 12 of the zoning code).
Adoption of official zoning map requires a recommendation by planning commission, and approval from city council.
OPTIONS/ALTERNATIVES:
The planning commission may take the following actions on the application: forward recommendation of approval to city council, forward recommendation of approval with conditions, continue to date certain, or forward recommendation of denial. A sample motion is provided for each option.
