REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:

Does city council support pursuing opportunities for corridor master planning in key areas of the city?

BACKGROUND:

As you know, Envision Littleton is developing a unifying vision and set of guiding principles for Littleton that will directly inform the City’s plans for the next 10-20 years.  The vision is the initial step in a larger process to update the city’s comprehensive plan and create a master transportation plan (to be completed in 2019).  Additionally, the city also recently wrapped up a process to establish the Belleview Corridor Vision, which was adopted on July 17, 2018.

Staff is in full recognition that there are many moving parts relative to local and regional land use and transportation priorities.   Paul Bryant of Bryant Flink Architecture will be presenting a strategy for parallel work on key corridor opportunities, namely the Santa Fe and Belleview Avenue corridors.
