REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:
Does city council support approval of the Restated and Amended Sewer Connection Agreement with Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District?
BACKGROUND:
In the northwest area of the city, there are a number of properties where the sanitary sewer main connects to a Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District sewer line, prior to connecting back to the City of Littleton sanitary sewer system. To address this situation, the City Council entered into a Sewer Connection Agreement with Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District on March 26, 2002 to allow for up to 85 single family equivalent sewer tap connections to that portion of Platte Canyon's sanitary sewer collection system. The 2002 agreement also included the properties located at 3200 and 3410 West Bowles Avenue and 5901 S. Watson Lane, which is part of the pending development application for Watson Lane Reserve Final Plat of Subdivision to create six single family lots.
PRIOR ACTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS:
On March 26, 2002 the City Council entered into the Sewer Connection Agreement with Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
Under the 2002 Sewer Connection Agreement, the property which is part of the Watson Lane Reserve Subdivision is allowed 2 sewer tap connections. The Watson Lane Reserve Subdivision proposes to create six single family lots; therefore, an amendment to the Sewer Connection agreement is required to allow for four additional sewer tap connections. Staff has worked with the Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District on the Restated and Amended Sewer Connection Agreement.
