Title

Motion to appoint William Hopping to the Littleton Invests For Tomorrow (LIFT) Board

Body

Presented By:

Mark Relph, City Manager

REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION:

Does city council support the appointment of William Hopping to LIFT?

BACKGROUND:

On Friday, May 25, 2018, Nicholas Millar provided notice of his resignation from the LIFT Board, effective immediately, due to work demands.  When city council interviewed applicants for the LIFT Board in January 2018, there were two applicants who weren’t appointed but had expressed interest and possessed the desired qualifications: Michael Williams and William Hopping.  Mayor Brinkman spoke to both applicants and Mr. Williams is not interested in being appointed at this time; however Mr. Hopping is interested in the appointment.

PROPOSED MOTION:

Proposed Motion

I move to approve William Hopping’s appointment to the LIFT board for a term that ends in 2023.
