BACKGROUND
In an effort to enhance the working relationship between the Historical Preservation Board and Historic Littleton, Inc., staff is recommending that HPB work with HLI to establish a more formalized agreement to continue to promote historic preservation in Littleton.

To this end, recently, Chair Grove and Vice-chair Price met with staff to start a list of shared responsibilities between the HPB and HLI. The goal is to set forth expectations for joint projects and activities between the two entities, which will help to establish efficiencies and improved coordination around promoting historic preservation in the community. The final work product will be a contract. The process to get there is as follows:

HPB AND HLI ROLES ON JOINT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
The following outline is for the HPB study session discussion. Also, the president of HLI has been invited to attend the study session. It is anticipated this is the first in several conversations between HPB and HLI.

Outreach at Community Events
HPB and HLI have reached out to the community during events such as Western Welcome Week and city council's Meet, Greet and Eats. Moving forward, HPB proposes to continue these activities and may or may not join in with HLI in their efforts. HPB and HLI joint outreach opportunities shall:
* Be discussed at least one month in advance between HPB and HLI to allow adequate time for planning.
