Title

Body
Presented By: |
Colleen L. Norton, Deputy City Clerk and Lena McClelland, Assistant City Attorney |
ISSUE:
The city code pertaining to liquor licensing and enforcement is out-of-date and needs to be updated to comply with current state liquor enforcement laws and best practices of the City of Littleton and all of its departments.
INTRODUCTION/HISTORY AND FACTS:
Title 3, Chapter 2 of the city code has not been significantly updated since 1985. Upon staff review of the city code pertaining to alcohol beverages, it is determined that there have been many changes in the State liquor code and liquor rules that have not been captured at the local level and there is some redundancy in the city code. The suggested changes will bring the city code pertaining to alcohol beverages up-to-date.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is the recommendation of staff that the Licensing Authority approve the suggested amendments to Title 3, Chapter 2 and that these revisions be forward to city council for approval by ordinance.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
Proposed Motion
I move to approve the resolution recommending approval of an ordinance amending Title 3, Chapter 2 of the city code regarding alcohol beverages.
