POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council support to adoption of the updated Emergency Operations Plan?
BACKGROUND:
Over the last 8 months, city staff has contributed to updating the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) to be more comprehensive and conform with the new policies and procedures directed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
STAFF ANALYSIS:
The updated Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is a more comprehensive document addressing the requirements of local governments to be prepared and respond to large-scale emergencies and events within their areas of responsibility. The updated EOP reflects the most recent vulnerability and capability assessment completed by the North Central Region in 2016 as relevant to the City of Littleton.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends council adopt the updated Emergency Operations Plan.
