POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council support amending the Waters & Company contract to include recruitment for the city attorney?
BACKGROUND:
City council interviewed four executive search firms on September 13, 2016 following an RFP process that had nine responses. After discussion of the merits of each firm, the council direction provided to staff was to present council with a motion for consideration to select Waters and Company. The Waters and Company contract was approved for $24,500 on September 20, 2016
FISCAL IMPACTS:
The amendment would add $21,000 to the original contract with Waters and Company

I move to approve the amendment to the Water and Company contract to include recruitment of a city attorney the contract will have an additional all-inclusive professional fee of $21,000 and to authorize the acting city attorney to make minor modifications to the contract prior to execution by the Mayor.
