Subject:
Title
An ordinance on second reading approving the Fifth Amendment to Lease between City Of Littleton and Wells Fargo Bank, National Association.
Body
POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council support extending the lease on the neighborhood police office at 89 W. Littleton Boulevard Suite C, Littleton, Colorado for three years?
BACKGROUND:
The Littleton Police Department (LPD) has maintained a neighborhood office at 89 W. Littleton Boulevard Suite C since February 1, 1998. These offices are not staffed but instead are used as a convenient location that allows officer to handle reports without returning to the City Center.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
The LPD feels that these offices provide a safe place for reports to be taken other than the City Center. It allows officer to be more effective and efficient while taking reports. It often times keeps officer out in the field and limits their response to other calls. Rather than responding back to the City Center. The offices have been outfitted with forms and computer docking stations, which help provide the officer the resource they need to complete complicated reports.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
Three year lease at $12.00 a year for a total of $36.00.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approving the lease with Wells Fargo for the office space at 89. W. Littleton Boulevard Suite C.
PROPOSED MOTION:
Proposed Motion
I move to approve on second reading the ordinance approving the Fifth Amendment to the lease between City Of Littleton and Wells Fargo Bank, National Association.
