POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council support awarding a 3% pay increase for the city manager based on high performance ratings for the 2014 performance evaluation?
BACKGROUND:
At the August 5, 2014 city council meeting, the city council appointed Mayor Pro Tem Beckman and Council Member Brinkman to serve as the members of the council appointee review committee. The committee is responsible for directing the annual review process for all council appointees. The city council has given the city manager high performance ratings.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
Should city council choose to provide the recommended salary adjustment, the cost would be $4,789.50, representing a 3% increase from $159,650 to $164,439.50.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
Because the city council has given the city manager high performance ratings, the committee recommends a 3% increase in base salary.
PROPOSED MOTION:
Proposed Motion
