Body

Presented By:

Doug Farmen, Finance Director

POLICY QUESTION:

Does city council support a resolution to adopt the 2016 budget for the Littleton Emergency Medical Transportation Enterprise Fund?

BACKGROUND:

The city council reviewed the 2016 proposed budget during two study sessions held on September 14 and 15. Due to staff reorganization, $100,000 will be saved in personnel costs beginning in 2016, which reduces the proposed budget amount of $3,922,660.

Council asked whether transport volume might increase due to additional medic unit hours in the field in 2016.  According to staff’s review, an estimated 100 additional transports may occur so the budget is increased by $50,000 in additional revenues.

STAFF ANALYSIS:

N/A

FISCAL IMPACTS:

Approval will establish a 2016 appropriation of $3,822,660.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Approve resolution adopting the 2016 budget for the Emergency Medical Transportation Enterprise Fund.

PROPOSED MOTION:

Proposed Motion
