POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council support appointing Mark Relph as the acting city manager and approving a contract for this position?
BACKGROUND:
City council is beginning a search for a new city manager. There is a need for an acting city manager to be appointed during the search period.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
City council agrees to pay Mark Relph $158,000 per year, plus $200 per month car allowance as interim manager. Upon completion of the contract for acting city manager, Relph will resume his duties as Public Works Director.
