PURPOSE:
Planning Commission selection of a commission member to serve as their representative on the Stakeholder Working Group of the Littleton Boulevard Subarea Plan Project, as well as an alternate.

DISCUSSION:
The 2024 City Council retreat identified further study of Littleton Boulevard as a priority. At their September 16, 2025 meeting City Council approved to award a professional services agreement with Dig Studio, Inc. for consultant planning services on the Littleton Boulevard Subarea Plan Project. Preliminary project work has begun in October and will continue approximately 18-24 months into 2027. The project scope of work calls for a Stakeholder Working Group (SWG), with a member representing Planning Commission.

BACKGROUND:
As part of the outreach efforts of the Littleton Boulevard Subarea Plan, the scope of work calls for the formation of a SWG. They are meant to be a diverse, representative set of stakeholders to serve on a working group. The project team will present to the SWG at critical points throughout the project. We will also present informative case studies and best practices in historic and mid-century preservation, corridor planning, and other topical areas that are relevant to Littleton Boulevard. The value of engaging deeply with key stakeholders extends well beyond their advisory role during planning. SWG members tend to become champions of the plan who recruit other proponents and partner organizations to participate in implementation.
