PURPOSE:
Approval of a Construction Contract with Fasick Concrete, Inc for the 2026 Miscellaneous Concrete Project

DISCUSSION:
The City of Littleton's Public Works Department manages and implements a Pavement Management Program that includes performing concrete repairs before street surface sealing or resurfacing projects. Replacing concrete ahead of these preservation efforts provides high value by enhancing drainage, creating a stable edge for sealing or paving, and ultimately increasing the effectiveness of roadway preservation projects. For larger citywide pavement preservation projects, including this construction contract, the city procures contractor services to augment city equipment and staff resources.

On March 25, 2026, the city advertised the 2026 Miscellaneous Concrete Project, City Project No. 25-05. Proposals were opened on April 27, 2026. Seven proposals were submitted. After reviewing submissions, staff determined that Fasick Concrete, Inc submitted the best proposal, based upon evaluation criteria for experience, approach, schedule, and pricing. This contract amount is within the 2026 Capital Improvement budget. Based on our past experience with Fasick Concrete, Inc, they are qualified to complete this work.

The 2026 Miscellaneous Concrete Project will repair concrete on the streets identified for the 2026 Surface Sealing Project and 2026 Mill and Overlay Project. Refer to the map attached to this package.
