POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council support a resolution approving an Apple Direct Customer Agreement (ADCA) between Apple Inc. (Apple) and the City of Littleton?

BACKGROUND:
Apple informed the city that as of January 1, 2015, the company changed its policy regarding how state and local governments purchase Apple products and services. The city is now required to sign into Apple's State and Local Government Website to place orders. Apple is responsible for issuing the city a sign-in account on that website. However, before Apple will issue the city an account, the city must agree to the ADCA.

STAFF ANALYSIS:
Using Apple's website will allow the city to utilize government discounted pricing and to have sales tax removed from city purchases.

FISCAL IMPACTS:
The ADCA does not require the city to commit any funds nor does it require the city to purchase Apple products or services.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends adoption of the resolution approving the ADCA between Apple and the city.

PROPOSED MOTION:
Proposed Motion
I move that the resolution approving the Apple Direct Customer Agreement be approved.
