DISCUSSION:
The HPC’s strategic plan calls out “Connectedness and Outreach” as one of the three primary goals of the commission. Taking this opportunity to sit down and discuss historic preservation in Littleton with HLI is directly aligned with this goal and its objectives. Historic Littleton, Inc. (HLI) is a local non-profit that is dedicated to preserving the city’s historical and architectural heritage through advocacy and education. As a local organization that aligns with the purpose of the Historical Preservation Commission (HPC), understanding the priorities of each group and areas for collaboration is an opportunity to further celebrate and strengthen historic preservation in Littleton. Discussion is expected to focus primarily on current projects, opportunities for current and future collaboration, and long-term priorities.
