PURPOSE:

PRESENTATIONS:
Staff Presenter(s): Keith Reester, Director of Public Works and Utilities
Additional Presenter(s): N/A

SUMMARY:
Water management is a critical issue for any government in Colorado. Littleton has not been a water service provider since selling the system to Denver Water in 1972. The City has a very limited water portfolio (shares/rights) and a plan to prioritize the use of these assets is important to both short and long-term decision making. The grant will help develop a short and long-term plan that assesses current water portfolio, conservation strategies and city water needs for a 25-year time horizon. This project will work in concert with the Ketring Water Firming Project to assess options for all City water resources including current water shares in the City Ditch, potentially impacting multiple facilities such as Ketring Lake, Ridgeview Park, and Geneva Park.
