BACKGROUND:

The city council reviewed the 2016 proposed budget during two meetings held on September 14 and 15.  During the meeting on September 15, council supported a budget reduction of $225,000 (50% of the $450,000 project cost) for the Littleton Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant’s proposed Regulation 85 (nutrient) project.  In addition, there has been a recent treatment plant operating budget update that increases the city’s share of the proposed plant budget by $670,280, and a city change to increase funding of the utility’s share for the General Fund GIS position ($11,000) for a total appropriation increase of $456,280.
