PURPOSE:
This Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) is a renewal and update to a long-existing agreement between the City of Littleton Police Department and the ACC Police Department related to authority and responsibility for the provision of law enforcement services on and around ACC campuses. The IGA is updated to include current campus building locations that have changed from the prior IGAs.

DISCUSSION:
This IGA is a renewal and update of an existing IGA between the LPD and ACC PD which identifies each department's authority and responsibility related to police services on ACC campus locations within the City of Littleton. The IGA identifies specific actions and locations within the city where ACC PD are authorized to take enforcement action and/or to conduct criminal investigations. Essentially ACC PD personnel are limited to investigating misdemeanor crimes on campus as well as to conduct parking and traffic enforcement on and immediately adjacent to their campus. The IGA also addresses the process and expectations of each department during requests for mutual aid.
This IGA updates campus property locations within the City of Littleton.
BACKGROUND:
The LPD and ACCPD have been partners to an IGA for many years. This revision updates locations of current Arapahoe County Community College buildings/properties subject to the provisions of this agreement.
