PURPOSE:
Joint City Council and Planning Commission review of staff recommended updates and needed refinements to Title 10 Unified Land Use Code (ULUC) and the Zoning Map. Staff prepared a DRAFT of refinements based on the first round of public comment to various chapters, sections, and subsections of Title 10.

DISCUSSION:
The ULUC became effective on October 28, 2021, since that time staff has facilitated several updates. This presentation is intended to provide the city council and planning commission with an overview of future updates to the ULUC.

The primary topic areas that staff intends to focus on are as follows:

* Master Sign Plan
* Platting Update
* Legislative Updates
* Landscape Updates
* Future Timeline?

BACKGROUND:
Staff updates city council and planning commission periodically on intended updates to the ULUC and the schedule for those updates. This conversation is a continuation of the evolving ULUC update work.

Prior Actions or Discussions
* At the December 11, 2023, joint planning commission and housing task force study session, the two bodies indicated their desire for additional ULUC updates.
* At the January 23, 2024, city council meeting, the council provided direction pertaining to the ULUC update priorities.
* At the August 26, 2024, planning commission study session, staff and the commission discussed, in general terms, the legislative updates required by the 2024 legislative session.
