POLICY QUESTION:
Does city council approve an amendment to Agreement No. 14-01.24 regarding design and construction of drainage and flood control improvements for the South Platte River at Reynolds Landing?

BACKGROUND:
On May 6, 2014, the City of Littleton entered into an agreement with Urban Drainage and Flood Control District and Arapahoe County regarding design and construction of drainage and flood control improvements for the South Platte River at Reynolds Landing.

The preliminary design of this project has been completed and the parties are now prepared to complete final design and begin construction. Council appropriated $1,100,000.00 for final design and construction of Reynolds Landing improvements in 2015.

STAFF ANALYSIS:
Council directed staff to move forward in partnership with the South Platte Working Group (SPWG), South Suburban Parks and Recreation, Arapahoe County, and Urban Drainage. Preliminary design has been completed. Final design is underway and construction is expected to begin in 2015. This resolution will implement the council policy direction to make improvements to Reynolds Landing.

FISCAL IMPACTS:
Council appropriated $1,100,00.00 for the final design and construction in 2015. Staff is working with our partners to look for grant and matching funds for the project.
