PURPOSE:
The city’s audit firm, Plante Moran, PLLC, has completed the annual audit for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. The governance letter as well as the 2024 Annual Comprehensive Report is attached, and includes the city’s Schedule of Federal Awards and single audit reports. William Brickey, Partner and Josh Yde, Principal, from the firm will make a presentation and answer questions from city council. Staff will also be available to answer questions.

The City Council will note that the auditor's letter represents a unmodified (“clean”) opinion of the Financial Statements.
Per the Littleton City Charter, the city is required to change audit firms every five years. This is the second year with the current auditors, Plante Moran, PLLC.
BACKGROUND:
The annual audit and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report are requirements per Littleton’s Charter section 33, as well as under state law.
