PURPOSE:
To amend the by-laws of the Next Generation Advisory Committee (NGAC).

SUMMARY:
The Next Generation Advisory Committee was formed in 2019. This resolution proposes certain changes to the Next Generation Advisory Committee by-laws including membership.

PRIOR ACTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS:
On January 28, 2020, a Study Session was held to discuss the continuation of the NGAC where City Council gave direction to continue the committee and some recommended changes to the by-laws.

ANALYSIS:
Staff Analysis
City Council met at a Study Session on January 28, 2020 to discuss the future of the Next Generation Advisory Committee. At the study session, some of the challenges regarding membership were discussed as well as recommendations to increase the age range from 17-34 to 16-36 and membership from 11 to 15.

The NGAC supports the ENGAGED guiding principle.

Littleton will remain ENGAGED and civic-minded in all matters affecting the direction and
priorities of city government and the community. Stakeholders will participate in transparent
processes and take responsibility for maintaining a respectful and productive dialogue. Meaningful interactions much involve committed elected officials, informed residents, and other partner organizations and agencies interested in Littleton as it is today and will be tomorrow.
