PURPOSE:
To rescind the March 14, 2020 City Manager’s Declaration of State of Local Emergency in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

SUMMARY:
On March 14, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic the City Manager issued a Declaration of State of Local Emergency. On March 20, 2020 pursuant to Littleton City Code Section 1-19-3 City Council had a special meeting to ratify the City Manager’s Declaration of State of Local Emergency. Pursuant to Littleton City Code Section 1-19-3(B)(3) the City Manager’s Declaration of State of Local Emergency would remain in effect until City Council rescinded the State of Local Emergency.

ANALYSIS:
Staff Analysis
Given the general return to normal pre-pandemic operations on both a State and Local level, as well as the State’s relatively low positivity rate it is believed that there is not a need for the Declaration of State of Local Emergency to remain in effect.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the Resolution rescinding the March 14, 2020 City Manager’s Declaration of State of Local Emergency.
