DISCUSSION:
The city has maintained a public-facing Tentative Council Calendar on its website and, in 2024, adopted the first annual City Council meeting calendar. By adopting an annual meeting calendar, efficiency is gained by enabling city council and staff to schedule other events and meetings, and to schedule any necessary travel, far in advance. The council may, via motion, amend the adopted calendar throughout the year if deemed necessary.
The following council meetings conflict with observed city holidays, other known events, or conferences which members of council generally attend are recommended for cancellation:
* Regular meeting: February 18, 2025 - Boards and Commissions interviews
* Study Session: March 11, 2025 - NLC conference
* Regular meeting: June 17, 2025 - CML conference
* Study session: June 24, 2025 - Summer break
* Regular meeting: July 1, 2025 - Summer break
* Study session: July 8, 2025 - Summer break

Council may want to also consider the following meeting dates that conflict with other meetings or community events:

* Regular meeting: August 5, 2025 - National Night Out (NNO)
* Regular meeting: November 4, 2025 - Election Nig...
