PURPOSE:
To review and finalize the awards provided to downtown businesses in 2024 through the City of Littleton Downtown Historic District Historic Preservation Grant.

DISCUSSION:
To be eligible for this grant program, a property must be: i) located within the Downtown Historic District; ii) be used for a commercial purpose; and iii) be over 40 years old. The grant program is intended to support business owners and operators in the Downtown Littleton Historic District maintain their buildings in good condition, initiate important rehabilitation and restoration work, and ensure historic buildings can attract and retain contemporary uses.
BACKGROUND:
The Historic Preservation Grant program is an annual program to support the historic preservation efforts in our Downtown Historic District. The total amount in the grant fund available for distribution in 2024 is $50,000.00.
Prior Actions or Discussions
HPC reviewed and awarded grants in 2019 and 2023.
FISCAL IMPACTS
The amount available in this grant is $50,000.00. Our intent is to award the full amount of $50,000 in the year 2024.
